ONATUS, the leading engineering office in providing solutions for the manufacturing industry, announces that TEI – TAI Motor Sanayii A.Ş., a Turkish international manufacturer and global designer for the aerospace industry, has integrated FORGE® simulation software into its product development and R&D processes. With this integration, TEI has the infrastructure to simulate complex manufacturing processes related to heat treatment and hot cold forming processes using FORGE® simulation software.

Among other activities, TEI provides parts and modules for aircraft engines and therefore aims to provide high quality products and services in accordance with international aviation standards. For this reason, the company frequently invests in research and development for new production processes.

ONATUS, which offers analysis and test-oriented design solutions for the Turkish market, has developed solutions for TEI to achieve this goal with FORGE® simulation software.

TEI said in a statement: “We were looking for a software solution for the simulation of hot forging of aircraft engine components. Our main goal was to find the geometry of the forgeable part that best serves the design intent of the final component. After several benchmarks, we settled on FORGE NXT, which has superior simulation speed, high accuracy levels and multi-core simulation capabilities.”

TEI, one of the most important organizations in the Turkish aviation industry, was established in 1985 as a joint venture of Turkish Aerospace Industries, General Electric (GE), Turkish Armed Forces Foundation (TAFF) and Turkish Aeronautical Association (THK).
